What type of commission can I expect as an independent for auto insurance?
I currently have my L&H, and am looking to add P&C license. I want to work as an independent & I understand that Progressive is a good company for that. Of course, if you know of any others, please feel free to let me know, so I can do good comparisons!
My question is, what type of payout is the “norm” for indi auto? I know when you work for the companies, just like with L&H, the payout is considerably lower than when you are indi. Also, I dont think that the payout is nearly the same as L&H. Is that so? How do the renewals work?

What’s “indi” auto? Indiana, or India? Commissions are about 10% for auto, regardless. The good news is, continuing commissions are ALSO 10%, so in the LONG run, it’s easier to build a business with P&C because your book will keep producing good commissions.
The bad news is, it’s really hard to get an appointment with the multi-line carriers, unless you have a decent book of 100K to transfer over to them, that’s profitable.
You might want to also consider Infinity Insurance, and nonstandard homeowners, Foremost Insurance, as they’re both pretty easy to get appointed with, and they don’t have book minimums.

Why people should have a PrePaid Legal Plan……?
I have seen a lot of people rip on PrePaid Legal and say that it is a scam. I am an associate for PrePaid Legal, but even if I wasn’t, I would say those people are wrong! It is not a scam! I have saved THOUSANDS of dollars with only a few matters with my provider lawfirm.
1. I have used my provider law firm prepare my will for me and my family. It would have cost me $700 locally to have it done by an attorney in my town.
2. I got a speeding ticket, and my attorney law firm got it reduced to a “illegal turn” citation. No points, and 1/2 of the fine. My city is not known for reducing fines. Savings of about $1,500 in three years for insurance rates increase.
3. They reviewed my business documents at no charge, and now I don’t sign anything without them looking at contracts. This is HUGE!
4. A furniture store refused to clean my sofas with their “protection” plan. I called the law firm, and the cleaners came out the next day.
I just want to know some don’t like PPLSI.
I have a plan and use it. I don’t understand all the bad things people say. They are wrong.

Arkansas provides little or no rights to renters. This is because most of the legislators and representatives are landlords. IS an excluded driver in a car insurance coverage redundant?
I mean obviously only the person listed under “covered driver” is the only one covered right? What’s the point in having Excluded Driver?
When a driver (usually living in the same household) is excluded, it requires the holder of the policy to sign that if the person is caught driving the vehicle or gets into an accident, they agree to hold the insurance company harmless. This means you can’t go to court and say you didn’t know about it.
