Assisted reproductive technologies (ART) have helped many couples suffering from infertility to find success. ART involves the manipulation of the sperm and egg with the ultimate goal of forming an embryo that will develop into a child. How this is done varies from treatment to treatment.
For instance, in vitro fertilization (IVF) is the most commonly known of all ART procedures. It involves the combination of the sperm and egg in a dish in a lab, followed by implantation of the embryo into the woman’s uterus. Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) involves the direct injection of a mature egg with a single sperm.
This may be used in conjunction with IVF in cases of severe male infertility. In Zygote Intrafallopian Transfer (ZIFT) and Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer (GIFT), the fertilization occurs in the fallopian tubes instead of in the uterus. In ZIFT, an egg is fertilized in a lab before it is transferred to the fallopian tubes. In GIFT, unfertilized eggs and sperm are transferred to the fallopian tubes for fertilization.

If Bush demanded that a fund be created to help the victims of the BP disaster, would you praise him?
Obama did not shake down an oil company, he made sure that the victims, most of which will lose their livelihood, will be compensated by BP and not the taxpayer. BP willingly agreed to this.
Yet, many Republicans want to attack Obama on this.
If Bush did the same thing, would you call him responsible for looking out for the victims? And if what Obama did was so bad and unconstituional, as you claim, then why are many Republicans happy that Obama helped secure this escrow fund to go towards the residents of the gulf coast? Are they now RINO’s because they agree with what Obama did?
Did Obama make sure that the litigation process would be easier by establishing this independent fund now, instead of having thousands of lawsuits, and millions of court hours wasted and having lawyers who do not even live in the gulf, profit from the lawsuits.
No matter what decision President Obama makes the GOP policy and rhetoric is to take the other side. The GOP cares more for the party than the country. This is as obvious as the sun setting in the west.
