Property And Casualty Insurance Company

property and casualty insurance company
i was looking to get my property and casualty license, so that im able to get a job with an insurance company.?

I KNOW THAT SOME COMPANIES HIRE YOU WITHOUT THE LICENSE AND THEN PAY FOR THE CLASSES AND EXAM BUT IM NOT CONFIDENT ENOUGH TO APPLY WITHOUT A PROPERTY AND CASUALTY LICENSE BECAUSE I HAVE ONLY HAD ONE RETAIL JOB FOR ONLY 9 MONTHS(IM 18) SO THEREFORE LACK CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. IM HOPING THAT WITH A LICENSE IT WILL BE EASY IN GETTING A JOB. IS THIS good idea or no?

Well, if you don’t have much experience I would definitley get licensed first. I live in Texas and I went through Kaplan Financial to take the 3 day class, I spent about 3 weeks really studying the book and then I scheduled a test with prometric and passesed the first time. MANY people fail because they don’t prepare…..study, study, study and I really recommend the class…I am sure that I would have failed without that because they really explain things so you can understand and apply it to a literal situation. But be careful hiring on with a company if they don’t require you to have the license, because what alot of them do is give you the oppurtunity to test and if you fail, you are fired!!! Let me know if you have any other questions!!
