Fred Loya Insurance. is the the worst insurance to deal with.?
I had an acciddent on the highway where a driving truck’s debris fell and hit my car in front causing my car to overheat after waiting for 4 hours for the police to clear the highway and push my car out of the median. me and my granddaughter were given a ride to my home in a police vehicle. and my car was towed to friendly chevrolet dealership in dallas, tx. after alot of litigation and arguing with fred loya insurance. fred loya agent decided that only my bumper would be covered. and that was that. they said it was a maintenance issue that cause my engine to overheat…the guy from fred loya came to my house to determine whether and right away said nope, it all would not be covered, he gavve me his card and left my house. then I called the 800 number for fred loya and tlked to the agent in charge of my claim . he took advise for me to take my car to friendly cheverolet because they do business with each other… stuipid me said ok. they refuse to pay anyting else but the bumper…
I don’t understand how damage to a bumper can cause a car to overheat. I don’t understand how anything hitting the front of the car can cause it to overheat without doing a lot of other front end damage, unless you can prove something managed to puncture the radiator. I also don’t understand why your car wasn’t going anywhere, but it was running for 4 hours.

California has tort reform. They cap malpractice awards. Medical insurance is not significantly cheaper in California. The reason medical costs keep going up is because we don’t let people die in the streets of curable ailments. People are treated and they pay until they go broke. The hospital eats the rest. They then pass the costs on to those who can still pay. It is is a vicious cycle. You get sick, you go poor, you pass the cost on to others, they get sick, they go poor even faster, and so on.

What type of commission can I expect as an independent for auto insurance?
I currently have my L&H, and am looking to add P&C license. I want to work as an independent & I understand that Progressive is a good company for that. Of course, if you know of any others, please feel free to let me know, so I can do good comparisons!
My question is, what type of payout is the “norm” for indi auto? I know when you work for the companies, just like with L&H, the payout is considerably lower than when you are indi. Also, I dont think that the payout is nearly the same as L&H. Is that so? How do the renewals work?

What’s “indi” auto? Indiana, or India? Commissions are about 10% for auto, regardless. The good news is, continuing commissions are ALSO 10%, so in the LONG run, it’s easier to build a business with P&C because your book will keep producing good commissions.
The bad news is, it’s really hard to get an appointment with the multi-line carriers, unless you have a decent book of 100K to transfer over to them, that’s profitable.
You might want to also consider Infinity Insurance, and nonstandard homeowners, Foremost Insurance, as they’re both pretty easy to get appointed with, and they don’t have book minimums.
